We respectfully request a call to Congress for legislation that would require every state to recognize and honor licenses for concealed firearms carry issued by every other state. A Concealed Weapons Permit issued by one state needs to be recognized universally within all states in the same way that all states recognize every other states' driver’s licenses.
We also ask the President to create a federal Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) by Executive Order. The CWP would be issued to citizens until, or in lieu of, legislation requiring universal recognition of state concealed carry licenses. In doing so, the government should adopt the “shall carry” standard. CWP issuance should be based on ATF Form 4473 criteria and must not be based on income, race, occupation, or sexual orientation.
