I believe it would be helpful and instructive to not only have petition signatures agreeing with a particular request (as we currently do) but to have an option to also disagree with a particular petition.
I believe it would help frame the scope of public support for or against a particular stance.
The anti-votes should not subtract from the vote count and any petition that garners the requisite number should still have the opportunity to have an official response from the Whitehouse.
