According to the articles above, Guantanamo Bay drains millions of dollars out of tax payers' pockets to avoid the issue of deciding how to deal with enemies of the state. From nearly 800, to less than 200 inmates now are housed there indefinitely and require our military to guard and support their incarceration. In the name of justice and in the time of budget cut considerations, the inmates should be tried, transferred, and the facility leased to Cuban authorities for alternate uses, possibly preserving the U.S. Naval role in the area if needed. Turkey or some other diplomatically friendly country to house inmates?
