Seeing as how it costs more for the U.S. Mint to make a penny, why not do away with pennies completely and round prices off to the nearest nickel and make better use of all that precious copper that is currently being wasted on pennies. Many businesses have already started pricing to the nearest nickel and has found that it works just fine and there have been no repercussions in doing so.
