The Representative Democratic system of Government was created as a way to represent the views of the people through one person. People could elect their representative and trust that they would act on their behalf.
The problem is, far too often, elected officials deviate from the will of the people. Holding on to power becomes more important than solving long term problems. The result has been stagnation. Government has become a problem that only the TRUE problem solvers can address.
We would like to see the Obama Administration work with American technology companies to bring the power of Governing to the people. Create a system where the people could vote on bills from home. Representatives could then be tasked with educating their constituents on these matters, not overruling them.
