Every penny counts. More like every penny costs. According to the WSJ each penny costs 1.7c to make. Additionally, pennies are quite undesirable to many.
Let's save America money by asking Congress to enact legislation phasing out the penny in 5 years, and requiring all cash transactions in the usa, and possessions round all cash transactions to the nearest nickel.
There is no need for the penny. Let's get rid of it!
