Mr President,
As you know the current immigration system is broken even for skilled immigrants. I have lived and worked in this country for over 10 years and I am still waiting for my Green Card.
There are countless people like me in the same position.
On their behalf, I urge you to create a Pilot Program that would allow H1B holders to change jobs without requiring sponsorship for the next 5 years.
Basically this would mean that anyone who is on a H1B and therefore currently has a job, will be able to work for any employer that they choose under a blanket presidential decree for the next 5 years.
This may be a short term pilot initiative but it will go a long way in bringing immigration reform to this country.
