By placing the 9/11 Memorial Museum (scheduled to open next year) under the National Park Service, it would allow the operation to be financed with public funds as are other Park Properties, like the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington. Currently, there are plans to charge a mandatory admission of as much as $25. That's unacceptable for a memorial to the more than 3,000 people who were killed in that disaster. There should be no entrance fees at Memorials, no matter where they are located. Allow patriotic visitors to make a donation, if the cost is a factor. But, charging a mandatory fee to enter could prohibit many Americans and other visitors from paying their respects at this very important memorial. Thank you for your consideration.
