Alcohol and tobacco need to be placed on the DEA list of controlled substances as a schedule 1due to the fact that more deaths occur each year as a result of their consumption. Both substances destroy lives, they are the REAL "Gateway" Drugs. Thousands of people suffer from alcoholism which and lead to a numerous amount of health problems including cirrhosis of the liver.
If current trends continue, by the year 2020, tobacco is projected to kill about 7 million people a year worldwide.
