Place armed veterans in our schools as proactive, tactical security officials.

As a parent to two young children, the recent tragedy in Newtown, CT really hit home. On the news, we see our nation's heroes coming home from their service to have no jobs available or suited to their skill set, leaving many homeless a d penniless. We fear for the safety of our children while in school and hear superficial resolution ideas like gun control or metal detectors, which in no way is a solution to the problem of protecting our children in a proactive way, as opposed to a reactive way. This petition is meant for Americans who want to solve two issues in our society and who are willing to pay out taxes towards something we actually believe in, as opposed to things that don't effect us and we aren't given a choice about. This solution solves two major issues with one action.
