This is not a petition for censorship, but rather to get back to responsible journalism. Throughout history we have had guns. We have had individuals with mental issues who are ready to take their own life. These mass murder scenes are a growing trend. The one thing that has changed in society the growing media influence. All too often, we remember the instigators of these crimes rather than the victims. Lets remove the incentive to immortalize these killers. Would the Sandy Hook tragedy have happened if these insane individuals knew their name would not appear in lights for months if not years afterwards? We will never know. But what we do know is the general population gets no benefit at all knowing the name and the face.
