Yanira Maldonado is a mother of seven. She is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Yanira and her husband were on a sightseeing bus ride in mexico when the bus was stopped and searched by mexican army troops. while searching the bus they found Marijuana under her seat. In the mexican legal system you are guilty unless you can prove yourself innocent. Gary Maldonado, Yanira husband was told by an attorney that if he was able to bribe the judge then he’ll let her go.
