Place a distance restriction of 100 feet (minimum) for protesters at Veterans Monuments and War Memorials.

Created by C.P. on March 04, 2014

We, The People, ask President Obama to enforce restrictions on protesting veterans and war monuments. We understand the importance of the 1st Amendment and the Freedom of Speech, Religion, and Right to Assemble. However, we also feel that the memorials and monuments constructed to remember our fallen brothers and sisters of wartime past and present, should be safe from being stood on, sat on, walked on or defaced in any way by protesters of various religious and political causes.

We feel that protesters having to maintain a minimum of 100 foot distance from our monuments is not unreasonable, nor is treading on anyone's constitutional rights. We also want to designate the same restrictions on protesting monuments as there are on funerals for any services or ceremonies at our monuments.
