Place economic sanctions and/or political pressure on Saudi Arabia due to their human rights violations against women

Saudi Arabia has flagrantly violated the most basic of human rights against the women of their population. Women are dominated by a patriarchal society that views them as little more than property. They cannot travel, drive, receive an education, receive medical care, or get married without the consent of their male guardian. The testimony of a woman in court is equal to half that of a man's. The abuses that women face are virtually ignored by the courts of the nation. These women are "perpetual minors," as deemed by the Human Rights Watch. The aforementioned abuses, and many more, are why the US should take action against the abuses of the Saudi government, in order to safeguard the very tenents that built our own nation and ensure that all are allowed their most basic human rights.
