The American people ought to be reminded of our greatest President every single time they open their wallets.
Andrew Jackson was not just our finest President, but one of our greatest military leaders. Through the defeat of the British at New Orleans, the Seminoles in Florida, and the Creek in Georgia he maintained American security and opened new lands for American development.
As President, Jackson worked to better represent the American people. He established the President as the ultimate representative of the people and worked to make the will of the people reality. Through the destruction of the Bank of the United States he stopped the federal government from impinging on the rights of the people.
I have more to say, but there is a character limit.
