Our country can not afford — in social or economic costs — to have any more families become homeless through foreclosure. It's a social justice issue, particularly in light of the "too big to fail" bank bailouts. I am petitioning for an immediate and complete moratorium on all foreclosures, with provisions to include principal recalculation based on current housing values.
The economic death-spiral of foreclosure affects not only the individual, but the country as a whole.
