Over the past year there have been countless cases of "swatting" or fake 911 calls where a swat team is dispatched to an unsuspecting and innocent person's home. It has recently become more and more frequent. It happens on what seems like a weekly basis. There has not been one suspect brought to justice in these cases, including a case that had the name and address of a suspect who admitted to committing the crime. These suspects put innocent lives in danger and it is time for law enforcement to take the cases seriously. Someone could seriously be injured or killed in these phony 911 calls. We ask for a thorough investigation into all recent and future cases to bring the suspects to justice. We recommend the minimum sentencing be 10 years in prison. We must make an example out of someone.
