Place a limit on election campaigning to six months prior to the actual election.

Created by J.K. on October 27, 2011

We, as a nation, spend way to much time and effort in the way we hold our elections. Under the current system anyone wishing to run for an office must fundamentally dedicate 24 hours a day to the effort. Businesses have to go without management, and the government positions run strictly dependant on election strategies, The amount of money being spent could easily be compared to "buying the election". It is wrong in that it keeps good honest people from being able to compete; only leaving career politicians to continue to bend the truth for their own benefit. Our two party system is broken. We, as taxpayers, have a choice to contribute to a national election fund. We should expand on that idea and limit spending to a set limit.
