As it stands now U.S. Representatives and Senators can serve an unlimited number of terms and many are well compensated financially. The duration of one term served by U.S. Representatives is two years and for Senators it is six years. The 22nd Amendment of the Constitution restricts the Presidency of the United States to two terms. U.S, Congressman and women are not bound by the same limitations. Placing limitations on Congressional terms would eliminate complacency felt by incumbents. Also, it would energize them to do the work Americans deserve for them to do.
