Place limits on the terms, salaries, and benefits of all members of the United States Congress

Created by R.H. on September 04, 2013

The United States Congress no longer serves the people. Instead, it is a system that serves its' own members, putting themselves and those who line their pockets first and the rest of the country second.

This includes higher pay, greater and more exclusive healthcare and retirement benefits, and no limits on term or salary.

Congress should be required to have limits on the number of terms they are allowed to serve, a reduction in pay (as Congress has provided little proof that their current salary is justifiable), as well as being required to use the same healthcare and retirement benefits utilized by the rest of the country.

Congressmen are not above the U.S. people and should receive no special treatment until such time that they can justify such treatment.
