Currently, the United States uses the imperial (or "standard") system of measurement as its primary system. This system is complicated, unused, and outdated. On the contrary, the metric system is simple, easy to understand, and is used by the rest of the world. Switching to it will make trading with and understanding other countries much easier and effective. Additionally, conversions between the two systems would be abolished, granting access to more understanding and less frustration.
