The lives of our children are not place with enough importance on them. Children's lives are taken everyday and the perpetrator who commits the heinous crimes receive sometimes as little as probation for sexual crimes and even no more than 2 years for murdering a child. Unless we have a law that states there is a minimum sentence for crimes against children death, injury, serious injury and sexual related crimes, of at least but not less than 20 years incarceration or even death the lives of our children will continue to be seen as less important to our justice system. From one parent who has lost a child to homicide I am asking that this become a reality and protect our children.
