President Theodore Roosevelt, of all men throughout American history deserves to be placed on the fifty dollar bill, because in addition to opening the national parks system throughout the United States, President Roosevelt is fondly remembered as the trustbuster. Roosevelt gained this nickname weakening the power of greedy industrialists (commonly referred to as "robber barons") such as John Rockefeller, Cornelius Vanderbilt, and JP Morgan. He broke up the monopolies and oligopolies that these industrial tyrants owned, creating a more fair economy for the American people. In addition, President Roosevelt, after witnessing the horrors committed by the meat packing industry, began to create reforms that became responsible for modern health codes throughout the United States.
