place restrictions on firearm ownership in household where young children reside or may be.

Created by J.G. on September 30, 2014

85 — Roughly the percentage of accidental shootings of children where the shooter was also a child in 2003-2006. (Catherine Barber, MPA, Harvard School of Public Health) This is great percentage of children in America. Firearms should not be accessible to young children. Restrictions need to be placed on the ownership of fire arms in residents with young children to reduce fatalities and injuries. Firearms can easily go off and if a young child finds it they may think it’s a toy because toy guns are made realistic to real guns therefore they might play with them and they will go off causing fatalities and injuries.
