Place Saturday as a day to go to school and to lengthen the school year by 36 days

Created by E.C. on January 27, 2013

In America today, many students and parents are asking the question, " Why does the school system make the school year, and week so long?" What makes this a common question is the fact that many countries like China, Denmark, South Korea, and Sweden are further progressing their students in subjects like math and science. In those countries, the school year ranges from 220 days in New Zealand to 11 months in China and Japan. As a result of this schedule, student math scores and science scores have be through the sky with Finland consistently being in first place in every subject according to the Organization for Economic Coperation and Development. Please sign this petition to keep pace with every other country as well as to make sure that students learn something new everyday.
