The attempted bombing of TImes Square and the successful bombing of the Boston Marathon have one common thread- both used low-grade TNT easily purchased from the same firework manufacturer (although different locations). Both bombers were able to purchase them with NO questions asked. If there were a regulation on who or how to procure it, it may of been enough of a deterrent to prevent both unfortunate attacks within our borders.
