We, the undersigned citizens of the United States of America, do hereby petition the US government to place a cap on the number of terms that a US Senator or US Representative may serve in their positions.
We suggest that a US Senator serve for no more than 2 terms (12 years) and a US Representative serve for no more than 6 terms (12 years).
We sign this petition to avoid future corruption that comes with power, for even a good man can become corrupt when they hold power in their hands for too long.
