place a term limit on members of the US Senate and Congress. If the President has a term limit, so should they!

Created by R.P. on April 08, 2016

When the United States allows Senators and Congressman to serve an unlimited number of terms , they become so beholden to special interest groups that the decisions they make are no longer about the American People. These Senators and Congressman become so powerful that they can shut down the government (2013) and choose not hold hearings for a Supreme Court Nominee. We the People, pay these elected officials with our tax dollars and when they refuse to do their job they still get paid. I don't get paid if I don't do my job, why should they?
I find it ironic that Congress passed the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution in 1947 to limit the President to two terms so he/she couldn't have too much power, yet they are not limited when some could argue they have more power than the president.
