TSA needs to be held responsible for bag searches when the owner is not around to witness the search. A blank card is often all that is found in a suitcase to replace the missing items as well as explain why your clothes are wet and dirty.
It's impossible to always travel with carry-on bags and is therefore impossible to avoid being separated from your luggage. It's not appropriate for TSA to be able to dig through the luggage irresponsibly and lose, break, and soil our belongings.
As well as I believe we are entitled to security and must all accomodate the inconveniences of it. I believe, as well, we should be able to expect that items missing from our bags, as well as the damage, should be explained and responsibility taken.
If we are to trust these searches, they must be tracked.
