The United States should recognize, accept, and take the lead in ensuring the continuation of the human race in the event of a catastrophic event that destroys all life on earth. Recognizing the possibility of such a calamity and accepting the responsibility to guarantee the continuation and promulgation of the human race, its accomplishments, its knowledge, and its cultures, the United States of America will devote necessary resources to champion the establishment of human colonies on the Moon, then Mars, then IO, eventually reaching to colonies outside of our Solar System. Each of these colonies will interact to accumulate, update, store and protect the sum knowledge of the ENTIRE human race. Bottom line ... to ensure the beauty and continuation of the human race.
