Our nation needs to set a goal of establishing a manned lunar colony within the next decade or sooner. Our country needs more good engineering and technology jobs and a national goal to aspire to just like President Kennedy did in the 1960s with going to the Moon. An accomplishment that all Americans can be proud of and it will help to advance science and technology in many different areas such as materials development and new medicines and medical devices. Our goal should be to expand the human presence beyond earth and to explore the Cosmos to develop a new frontier. We made it to the Moon before, now we need to honor the accomplishments of those who have gone before and continue the exploration and return to do more. We have to move onward and outward and to inspire our children.
