On Sunday February 2, 2014 The NFL will host Super Bowl XLVIII. Millions of people from throughout the world will follow the game.
In the U.S nearly 1/2 of all TV sets will be tuned in as over 100 million people enjoy our most popular sport. Loved ones will gather at countless parties to share this quintessential American moment. Superbowl Sunday will be a glorious day.
The following Monday, not so much. Weary and worn from Sunday festivities, many people will skip work. It is estimated that 5.9 million people will call in sick or be late to work costing businesses $800 million in lost productivity on 'Superbowl Monday".
Its time to urge the NFL to schedule future Super Bowls on Saturday or permanently move the game to President's day weekend. Lets make the NFL put the fans first.
