Married couples have laws and regulations that allow support and help for one another like time off because one is sick, a growing family, or death. 50% of heterosexual marriages do not work and end in divorce. The people against this say that it will make marriage less meaningful but we already do not take is as seriously as we should. We need more role models and I think that allowing this would help the community as a whole and help our statistics. Children would benefit more with having a family instead of parents who are just in a committed relationship without protection from the law. 12 states already allow this. Why can't all 50 have that same right? Just because it's normal doesn't mean that it's not right. You should be allowed to marry the person you love, male or female.
