The American people want and need a more economical solution to the rising cost of healthcare. The time is now to allow Americans to import their medications from countries such as Canada, New Zealand, Israel, and countries from the EU, etc. In such a time of uncertainty, the American people simply cannot afford to spent over-the-top amounts of money on prescriptions domestically. The pharmaceutical companies are profiting off an already financially strapped American. For example, a prescription to treat narcolepsy in the United States cost $900 dollars, while in Mexico it cost $85 dollars. That's somebody's entire monthly pay. Ultimately, if an insurance carrier decides not to cover a costly medication, the one who will pay is the stressed out citizen. This isn't fair.
