It has been proposed that Texas secede from the United States and the movement is gaining support.

Not all Texans are for the idea of seceding from the United States, we as citizens of Dallas, are signing this petition for the following reason.
In the event that Texas is successful in seceding from the United States, Dallas would like to remain a state functioning within the United States of America.
This would give the people of Dallas a way to create their own state legislature and perhaps bring Dallas back to the vibrant city it once was.
