Please allow my family to become a recognized family. Allow gay marriage and equal rights in all states.

I would like to petition the Obama administration to legalize gay marriage in all states and to grant us equal rights. I would like all states to be unable to discriminate against gay/lesbians in any circumstance. I would like for my family: myself, my partner, and our child to be afforded any and all rights that a "straight" married couple are afforded. According to the first amendment of the Constitution, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." Mr. President, the argument of preventing or allowing gay marriage is almost solely based upon religion and people's belief in religion. Please allow all citizens of the US to have equal rights, especially the right to marry the person they love regardless of gender.
