As part of the budget cutting of the sequester, the Administration has stopped all tours of the White House. While everyone will have to make sacrifices due to the sequester, please reconsider making this one of them. The portion of the $1.6 billion Secret Service budget used to fund tours of the WH is 1/20th of one percent. That money funds the priceless experience of allowing the public to see where the executive branch of our government does it's job.
School children have scheduled their tours for their spring break trips to Washington, D.C. They are being told they cannot go on their tours of the WH, arguably the highlight of their visit to the nation's capital.
Please reconsider and allow the people to see the seat of the nation.
