Please Allow SNAP Benefits to be used on Online Grocery Shopping Websites

Created by G.A. on August 31, 2016

Many Supermarkets (Stop n'Shop, Foodtown, Fresh Direct, Shoprite, Amazon Pantry etc.) now have online shopping and delivery for groceries and fresh foods. The problem is that there is no payment option for SNAP beneficiaries. One must pay by debit or credit card. Having a SNAP benefit card option would help Many elderly, disabled SNAP beneficiaries who often find it difficult to travel to and navigate supermarkets. SNAP Benefits are a form of money and should be able to be utilized for food shopping online. Not being able to use SNAP for online food shopping, which has become very commonplace, is a form of discrimination limiting viable food shopping options for people on this benefit.
