The Federal government has responded to a previous petition on the secession of Texas, stating that the founding fathers "did not provide a right to walk away from it [the United State]." But according to US and Texas History, Texas is the only state with this right. Texas can break away from the union, because it was its own country before joining the United States. I wish for the Federal Government to reconsider its decision, and give the state of Texas what it wishes for. The State of Texas is fully capable of living without being in union with the United States.
