Please ammend the consumer credit practices of the United States.

Created by C.H. on December 05, 2012

The government needs to rewrite and/or ammend the current consumer credit scoring system in a mannor that allows people with past credit issues to have these items forgiven after a period of five years. In the credit history items older than five years should no longer be allowed to show up at all, and all credit decisions should be based soley on the past five years. Also lenders such as credit card companys should not be allowed to send checks to customers that can be used aginst thier accounts unless the customer asks in writing for these. Also in these times of increased cyber theft the consumer needs easier access to credit repair which would allow people greater access to lower intrest rates that in turn would lead to spending in the housing markets as well as the auto industry.
