Please ask the Nation of Japan to remove the war memorial on Attu Island

On June 7, 1942, the Japanese Imperial Army landed troops on Attu Island, in the Aleutian Island chain. They treated the natives and Americans badly, and in May of 1943, the US Army began an effort to remove the Imperial Army from the island. In the course of the difficult battle, over 500 Japanese soldiers sacrificed themselves and were buried in a mass grave there. The Japanese Government requested, and received permission from the US Government, to erect a memorial on the site of their graves. This memorial to Japanese war dead is an affront to the many US soldiers who gave their life, on US territory, repelling the Japanese invasion of North America. Please remove this Japanese war memorial from US soil.
