Please ask the Wisconsin DNR to not kill healthy baby animals as blanket policy

Created by J.M. on August 03, 2013

On July 15, 2013 the Wisconsin DNR killed a healthy orphaned baby deer because of a blanket policy they have. They used a swat team to acquire the deer from an animal shelter where it was being cared for by knowledgeable and responsible humans. It was then euthanized as a matter of policy. Their spokesperson compared the raid to a drug bust.

Please ask them to reconsider this policy as killing wildlife out of fear is not helpful to anyone.

Humans have been sharing an environment with deer for longer than we have had writing to codify our laws.

Healthy deer should not be killed out of fear.

Sick deer should be dealt with using reason and knowledge, not blanket burn it all policies.
