Since the Digital Transistion, we were told it was to free up frequencies for EMS, but it was mostly for the Cellphone companies to be able to provide 4G Speeds.
The Digital transmitter power is several hundred thousand KW's lower than when they were transmitting in Analog and the antenna towers were also higher.
Even with a good indoor antenna, I can't pick up all my local TV stations and walking near the antenna it disrupts the signal. I am forced to pay either a Cable, Satellite or Fiber Optic Provider extra money to receive my local channels because I can't pick them up with an indoor antenna and before the transition I could pick all of them up and even a few stations from Canada, PA and Ohio with just a set of rabbit ear antenna.
Thank you.
