Mexican migrants realized that they could easily get a worker visa. This visa allowed American farmers to legally hire migrants. The illegal immigrants would be given a worker visa at their worksite or were taken to the border to take one step into Mexico and then step back into the US and get their worker visa. Since migrants found out that thry could easily get a worker visa and American farmers could hire all the Mexican migrants, this caused the illegal immigration market to disappear virtually. Worker visas could be what we need to stop illegal immigration.
