Aronow v. United States was the first case to challenge the inclusion of "In God We Trust" on U.S. currency. The law it challenged was "31 U.S.C. § 324a "the inscription 'In God we Trust'...shall appear on all United States currency and coins".
The Court ruling was flat out ignorant trying to claim the use of a religious phase has nothing to do with establishment of religion. Currently in many court rooms in the United States the "motto" also appears. For example back in Cook County (where you have a residence) all of the court rooms on the 11th floor state "IN GOD WE TRUST" in big letters. This is distracting not to mention somewhat offensive in the court room. For people of many faiths would "IN SATAN WE TRUST" be acceptable? Please see to it that this religious motto goes away.
