The idea of putting a woman as one of the major figures on our currency is to be applauded. The idea is well thought out, and it is past time that this idea come into effect. The decision of what bill to change, however, is the wrong one. Alexander Hamilton is a deserving person of note to stay on our national currency notes. Andrew Jackson, on the other hand, is one president whose many faults are overlooked; faults that are too large to ignore.
Hamilton helped form the final draft of the Constitution with Madison, was the 1st Secretary of the Treasury, and established the US Mint. Jackson was a man who removed native families from their homes, caused a major economic recession, and wasted his time governing with reckless duels.
