Please consider ending Prohibition on growing Hemp. 4-acres of Hemp can save up to 22-acres of forests every year..

Created by F.K. on January 09, 2013

A petition to end the prohibition of Hemp Cultivation in the United States.
Hemp although related closely to marijuana, has no ability to get people "high." Its lacks the THC used to get "high."
1-acre of hemp can produce up to 300-gallons of oil, and that can be used for anything from clean fuel for our cars to a beneficial cooking oil. Along with that up to 3-tons of protein, and 30-tons of fiber.
4-acres of hemp can produce as much paper as 22-acres of trees each year and, it takes 20-years or more for those trees to grow.
In the 20+ years it takes to grow the trees, that small 4-acres could save close to 450 acres of our Forests.
Hemp can replace plastics and is bio-degradable and is a totally sustainable crop we should be growing thousands of acres of Hemp across our great Nation.
