Please consider options other than violent strikes against Syria. History has shown us that violent responses rarely deescalate a volatile situation, but instead have the opposite effect. Let's stop the mindset that violence is going to promote peace, and instead realize that if something is not worth dying for, then it is certainly not worth killing. This country really needs to shift the muscle of its foreign policy from military endeavors to the promotion of compassion and education across the world. Bashing people around does little more than feed the flames of propaganda against the people of this nation, people who have no direct say as to who or what we are going to attack next. Please, Mr. President, let's show the world what we can do with our minds and hearts, not our weapons.
