Please consider a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom to Stephen Crohn who furthered HIV research with his own body

Stephen Crohn, who passed away at age 66 in New York City on August 23, as reported in the New York Times on September 16, was "The Man Who Can't Catch AIDS." As a caregiver to one of the earliest HIV/AIDS patients, a condition which, at that time in 1978, did not even have a name, he allowed his body to be evaluated as to why some individuals contracted the virus and others were automatically immune. His resistance to the virus paved the way to a greater understanding of the disease and to the creation and advancements of treatments in use today.
