The Congressional Budget Office, as well as many non-partisan groups, agree that the federal budget is unsustainable as it currently stands. Some set of spending cuts are clearly necessary to help improve the country's fiscal situation. Now that tax rates have been raised on wealthier Americans, now appears the time to try and tackle spending issues. While I'm sure it is very difficult for members of Congress and the White House to come together and agree on a set of cuts, especially given the ill-will that has developed over the past four years, somebody has to be the bigger person and try and make something happen. Please reconsider working with all members of Congress to agree to a set of spending cuts to start improving our nation's budget issues.
